Knowledge and Skill Learning and Communicating Online

Questions: 1. What rating you would give the team out of 10? What factors contributed to the level of success of your team? 2. What was your role within the team? How your personality contributed to the success level? 3. Use of literature for explaining and discussing your experiences with own role and success of your team? 4. How you will contribute to the teams future? Answer: 1. Working in a team or group require special talent, knowledge and skill of an individual as within a team or group, an individual has to perform own role and responsibility in collaborative manner. According to Boling et al. (2012), there are always different roles and responsibilities assigned for every team member in every tem or group. In todays competitive business world, more or less every organisation prefer teamwork rather than individuals performance only because it is time and cost effective and is potential and effective enough to complete the assigned tasks within short period and in appropriate manner (Capdeferro and Romero 2012). In this assignment, my team has performed to research a topic in order to improve effective ideas and concept for publishing Prezi online informational resources. My team has performed well in overall manner; therefore, I would give seven out of 10. Trust and communication are the major factors that contributed the ultimate success of my team. The entire team has detailed knowledge and skill of employing modern technology and it helps to build a proper teamwork for publishing Prezi online informational resources. Even I focus to achieve collective results from a perfect team discussion and all of my team members have understood the goal, which possess commitments and priorities. Even the entire team member has checked the authorisation of the online informational resources. Crawford-Ferre and Wiest (2012) has mentioned that cohesiveness is a major factor of the performance of a team. The willingness and the cohesiveness of my team member are excellent; however, they face some problems regarding group activities and discussions. 2. Following the Belbins Team Roles, my role within the team was coordinator as I effectively manages the group dynamics and play the role of a leader in certain cases. I keep my team members concentrated and organised on the taken goal and project in hand. I am in charge of the team to oversee the entire details and processes, which will help the team to reach its established goal. I have a strong communication skill and with the help of it, I helped my team member to understand the scope and opportunities of online informational resources of Prezi. Even if there are any kinds of confusion within the mind of my team members, then I solved it with providing relevant and adequate information regarding Prezi online informational resources. As opined by Harasim (2012), a college degree is not enough in order to play the role of a coordinator within a team. It requires a vast knowledge on particular subject the team is dealing with. I supervise the taken processes and have a strict observation whether all the assigned tasks are being performed in appropriate manner or not by my team member. Even in certain cases, I have to play the role of a potential leader and I solve any kind of potential obstacles that may hamper the desired outcome of the established goals. My personality is friendly while dealing with my team members as it helps to discuss any critical issues they encounter within the team. 3. According to Jolliffe et al. (2012), the coordinator of a tem designs, researches, maintain, and build effective ideas. I also change the strategies in order to meet the target of the team. I motivate and influence every team members, therefore they can perform own tasks in more efficient manner. I also tried to provide training and coaching to some of my team members if they lack some knowledge and skills for Prezi online informational resources. However, there were few problems arrived from the negative mindset of few tem members. That was not at all excellent experience for me as a coordinator as this negative mindset has a huge possibility to influence other team members positivity within the team while performing the assigned task. I personally communicate with these individuals to resolve the problems and improve their productivity. Simpson (2013) has mentioned that it is an important role and responsibility of the coordinator to take care of the tasks and emotional conditio n of every team members. I always went beyond my responsibilities for the sake of the team and further success of it. I evaluate the job performances of every team member and provide relevant and effective recommendations for their better performance, which is appropriate for their career progression and the success of the team. 4. As opined by Xu and Jaggars (2013), team coordinators responsibilities involve various administrative tasks, which is closely related to the current operations and functions. As I played my assigned roles and responsibilities of coordinator and team leader in appropriate manner in this present team, therefore, it can be expected that I will play this particular role better in future after gathering various experiences. In future, I will be careful enough regarding any kind of potential challenges and problems within the team as it possess enough capabilities to destroy the unity and cohesiveness of the team. Zhu (2012) has determined the fact that a coordinator should schedule both external and internal meetings and calls and prepare the meeting agendas in appropriate manner. In future I will track the actions and operations of the scheduled meeting as it can influence the activities of the team members. I will make develop stronger working relationship with the other existing tea m member, guests and clients. I will monitor the deadlines of assigned tasks in stricter manner than previous. I will update relevant information for the help of my team members, as it will bring their creativity and best work in appropriate manner than ever possible. I will take every decision with proper following of ethical consideration; therefore, in future I will not encounter any kind of problem while dealing with my team member.
